The Baratza Vario 855 Espresso grinder - Professional coffee grinder ever released by Baratza, an amazing result of joint venture and innovative technology with Mahlkonig, leading brand for high quality professional and commercial grinders in Germany. The only Grinder in the market today that is both excellent espresso grinder suitable for use with commercial grade espresso machines and excellent coffee grinder for use with any coffee maker, french press or stove top that require coarser grind. (See Compatibility note below).

The Vario includes a belt-driven hardened ceramic burrs driven by a powerful motor. Expect very quiet operation, excellent heat retention and grinding beans is faster than any similar grinder. Vario has extreme fine tuning with micro fineness adjustment for high precision and over 200 settings range from fine espresso to coarse french press.
Vario also has 3 programmable buttons for dosing, another unique innovation by Baratza. With the Baratza Vario grinder you can program the timer for coffee quantity effortlessly with the digital display. New upgrade includes the H2 display - a stand-by memory feature was added so memorized programs are not lost when unplugging the coffee grinder. The Vario comes with Portafilter holder accessory (PortaHoldera) for doserless grinding of espresso cooffee directly into the portafilter, fit up to 58mm commercial size portafilter.

Baratza Vario grinder has small footprint for home use, yet full range of grind, rapidly repeatable micro grind adjustment and quick grinding speed.
Grind directly into the portafilter handle, fit up to commercial sized 58 mm handle, or use the ground coffee bin that can contain about 200 grams of ground coffee if you ground for french press coffee for example.
Maximum flexibility - The Vario grinder is only 36.5cm high so it fits under most upper kitchen cabinets. All functions are located in the front, so equipment can be placed on each side.
Vario includes broad range of grind adjustment (250 mm to 1200mm) and narrow particle distribution (bi-modal in espresso setting) are hallmarks of Vario professionalism. New faceplate include fine line marking with A-W letters for better memorizing of grind set points.
3 user programmable buttons allow setting within 0.1 second (about 0.2 gram) of grind time. With a simple push of a button, Vario automatically delivers precise dosing.
Manufactured in Germany by Mahlkonig, the Vario’s 54mm Professional ceramic burrs produce precision grinding, high throughput and remain sharp longer than quality commercial steel grinder burrs.
Low static generation & noise - Baratza Vario grinder uses a combination of gear and electronic speed reducers to slow the spinning of the burr to 600 RPM along with new anti-static technology. This slow speed reduces heat, noise, and static generation in the grinder and ensures that the beans feed smoothly into the burrs.
The Vario includes powerful high torque DC motor and an ultra-quiet belt-drive transmission. The German timing belt provides important thermal insulation between the motor and the burrs resulting in cool, quiet operation with no burnt of coffee grounds,  even in long grinding duty-cycles.
Both the grinder burrs and the coffee bean hoper are easy to clean & remove. This feature is very unique as it is not as common in other similar coffee grinders.
