La Pavoni EPC-8 Traditional Professional Espresso Machine
The Europicola is a manual traditional espresso machine for eight espresso shots. An old Charm Beauty - all exposed metal is polished Chrome nickel and stainless steel.
Manually operated with a lever, that means there is 100% control of brew pressure by the user. Absolutely silent operation and no loud pump to interfere the shot. Pulling the lever down create pre infusion, and then up forces the piston to push the water through the ground coffee in the portafilter.
The boiler serve as the water tank and you actually fill it with water directly. The Europicola will deliver a perfect shot of espresso to the well trained Barista.
Coffee Preparation:
Just pull the lever all the way down - since there is no pump, the way you pull the lever will determent the quality of the coffee, if you don't mind the challenge, you got yourself a great simple machine, the portafilter is made of chrome-plated brass for temperature stability.
One main switch plus ready light - once you turn the machine on the ready light will illuminate, within approximately 6 minutes the machine will be ready to brew coffee and the ready light show you the a green light.
Small boiler fast heating - it is highly recommended to turn the boiler off when you don't use it, especially since it doesn't take him so long to heat again, this way it will live longer.
Sight Glass - It is very important not to operate the PC without water, therefore on the left side of the boiler there is a clear sight glass allow you to see the water level in the boiler.
Eight espresso shots - the PC-8 can make up to 8 espresso shots. If you just make coffee for yourself and your partner it's prefect, but if you like to entertain this one won't be you best bet.
Steaming Performance
The Europicola steam like a pro with it's 3 hole steam tip like the one you find on the commercial espresso machines. No waiting time between brewing and steaming, you can brew and steam at the same time.
Special & Convenience
Safety shut off thermal fuse, Pressure Relief Valve protects the machine from over heating or pressure.
