Expobar Brewtus III-V Dual Boilers Espresso Machine, E61, Gicar PID

Expobar Brewtus III dual Boiler Espresso machine is Barista's heaven. With Double boiler + PID design you'll be able able to get consistent god shots as often as possible.

Latest shipment of 2010 models comes with new Gicar PID with Blue led lights, higher grade polished Stainless Steel body and the new single hole Steam Tip as a standard.

Expobar brewtus III-vThe Brewtus 3 is an upgraded design of the Expobar Brewtus II with double boilers but now with Gicar PID and other improvements. Thanks to Expobar innovative approach and efficiency in manufacturing, the Brewtus lll is also relatively inexpensive. We simply get more than we pay for in comparison to any other semi automatic espresso machine in the market today. Moreover... Espresso consistency is better than ever with "in-water" PID temperature sensor in a dedicated "coffee only" boiler as oppose to outside the boiler pressurestat used in single HX boiler espresso machines.

We didn't know how to briefly describe what we believe is the best semi-automatic espresso machine on the market therefore we can only ask that you read the features and benefits of this machine below. The Brewtus III is no ordinary espresso machine, this is the kind that you buy once in a life time.

We've got the Expobar Brewtus III in 3 different configurations:

Expobar Brewtus III-V
Standard with Vibration pump & water tank, replaces the Expobar Brewtus II, now with Gicar PID.
Expobar Brewtus III-V Premium
Standard with Vibration pump, water tank plus direct water & drain connection ready.
Expobar Brewtus III-R
Rotary pump with direct water and drain connection, without water tank.

Expobar brewtus III Gicar PIDAll Expobar Brewtus III comes with the following improvements over the Brewtus II: Gicar PID, Commercial grade dual gauges in black, heavy duty metal on/off switch (replacing the red plastic) and anti burn steam wand. (Anti burn steam wand also available exclusively in our 2010 Expobar Lever). Also, the Brewtus III-V is now equipped with heavy duty "normal" size rubber feet.

All a Barista dare to desire in his espresso wish list and much beyond standard commercial grade espresso machine is here in the Expobar Brewtus lll. Not one, but 2 Copper boilers, not one, but 2 gauges, not a standard HX boiler where temprature is controlled by pressure-stat but dedicated boiler with electronic Gicar PID user friendly temperature control. All these and more still in a beautiful design, Nickel plated E61 grouphead, dual layer steam wand and Super heavy Solid Stainless Steel body.
Yet, not another espresso machine... This one is built to last.

Coffee Preparation:

Faema E61 groupheadSimple to use, with the Brewtus III-V, just pull the E61 grouphead lever up and the brewing process starts. When finishing brewing your espresso with the Brewtus, just push the lever down. The lever action engage the pump when up and then the pressure relief valve when pulled back down.
Expobar Dual Boiler Brewtus III comes with commercial size 58 mm portafilter handle. It is made of chrome-plated high density brass that contributes to the thermal stability. Included with the handle are two filter baskets for one and two espresso shots. A 58mm E61 Naked Bottomless portafilter is available.
E61 grouphead is a desirable feature that you can find in the Expobar lever espresso machines and more expensive commercial espresso makers. It is made of high density solid brass (about 9Lbs!) and beautifully chrome platted, polished to perfection. This grouphead is always hot and ready for brewing due to it's thermosyphonic circulation system that circle hot water continuously between the grouphead and the boiler for better thermal stability. With the added PID in Brewtus machines, temperature stability and control is easier than ever.
Two, double boilers with automatic refill allow you to brew and steam at the same time, there is no waiting time between brewing espresso and steaming milk. Each Boiler is 1.7 Liters in volume and has its own 975 watts heating element set to work at optimum temperature. Since both have automatic water refill there is no wait time between one espresso shot to another.
Brewtus 3, once on, is always ready to make any coffee with no delays or any wait time thanks to its quick temperature recovery system.
Gicar PID is now included in all Expobar Brewtus espresso machines models. The temperature control is located on the left side of the machine. It contributes to highest precision of water temperature and stability adjustable at your finger tips. Programming is made by using the arrow up or down to set your preferred brewing temperature to an accuracy of 1 degree Celsius. The new PID controls the water temperature inside the boiler in extreme consistency by commanding the heating element of any fluctuations as low as under 1 degree Celsius, therefore, standard boiler temperature variances do not occur as with typical thermostats.
Expobar brewtus III double gaugesBoiler gauge and steam pressure gauge with ready light are located on the right side of the espresso machine, let you know when the machine is ready to brew coffee or steam milk. You can control the brewing pressure with a small knob hiding behind the drip tray. This feature is exclusive for the Brewtus lll.
Automatic Boiler Refill is a smart probe that sense the boiler water level. When the water level goes low in the Expobar Brewtus III, it send a signal to the pump to fill water into the boiler until it reach its optimal water level.
The Brewtus 3 has a manual pressure relief valve. The lever to the right if the E61 grouphead controls the valve. Pulling it up starts  the brew process, pulling down stops the brew process. Once stopped, Expobar's manual pressure relief valve opens and release pressure from the grouphead and the portafilter handle to the tray. The pressure relief dries the used ground coffee in the portafilter handle so its packed nicely into a cookie shape, easier to knock it out.
The Expobar E61 Grouphead has a pre infusion feature. It creates uniform extraction of the ground coffee in the portafilter handle, resulting in maximum aroma.
A water tank sensor is located under the water reservoir in Brewtus III-V. It engaged when the water level in the water tank is too low by sensing the water weight. Once it senses low water level, it turns off the machine, protecting your Brewtus III.
One water filter /softener is included with the machine, located in the water tank. We offer annual supply of high quality water softeners for use with Expobar Espresso makers at a discount. Water quality and scale removal is important not only for best coffee taste but also protects your expensive espresso machine.
Water connection / plumb in feature is optional with the Expobar Brewtus III-R and Brewtus III-V Plus espresso machines. However, keep in mind that the Brewtus III-V has a very large water tank with 2.7 Liters capacity. It is more than enough for average home user daily consumption even for entertaining. Water connection may require some alterations and flow control of your household water pressure. In addition it is recommended to add Water Softener or Filtered water System to your water supply lines.

Steaming Performance:

Expobar Brewtus III has a unique feature that you can not find in similar espresso makers in the same price range. Dedicated 2nd 1.7L boiler just for steaming. This feature guarantee high steam power, continuous any time all the time. The other boiler is ready to pull espresso shots accurately one after the other thanks to its PID control.

I recommend the Expobar brewtus III to anyone seeking a professional espresso machine. I have used it for few weeks now and it makes great shots everyday. It maybe pricy for some, (including me), but on the bright side - you'll never want to upgrade again!

I upgraded to this machine from a Rancilio Silvia. The reasons I upgraded were that I wanted more consistent results as well as being able to steam as I pulled a shot. I have had the machine for about 10 days and I am incredibly happy with the machine. First, the folks at Z Cafe have been fantastic to deal with, their pricing is better then any other in North America and the service is fantastic. The machine showed up 4 days after I ordered it, the day before arrival I received an email with set-up and priming instructions. Good thing as the manual with the machine was lacking. So I filled and primed the machine and waited for it to heat up. It took about 4 shoots for me to get the coffee grinder adjusted to the machine. I was surprised at how much finer of a grind it requires. The preinfusion stage of the machine really brings out the sweetness and pretty much eliminates any spritzers when using my naked portafilter. Amazing consistent espresso from a machine built like a pro machine, seriously, it weighs 65 lbs. My one and only complaint is that the holes in the two hole steam tip seem to be a little large. The machine has steam power but it is difficult to get used to it and I think this is why. No big deal, easily fixable. Amazing machine, great service from Zcafe and a great price. This is the machine to buy as you will not feel the need to upgrade to a "better" machine anytime soon.

The Brewtus III-V is superior to any machine I've ever owned. No need to brave it too much since you can read about it all over the internet. One thing to remember though: when you buy professional espresso machine such as the Expobar brewtus you should also consider the support behind it now and in the future. I've read some good reviews online about the Brewtus and Zcafe and decided to buy it. Zcafe support proven to be one of the best I have ever experienced. It starts with quick shipping, first install instructions, tech support, follow up and more. That makes the purchase of the Brewtus III even sweeter.

I owned many espresso machines before I bought the Brewtus III. I had single boiler SL70, then Silvia, and recently ECM Giotto with HX boiler. I upgraded to the double boiler machine because I wanted PID temperature control. The dedicated coffee boiler controlled by a PID is the most amazing improvement you can get in any espresso machine. While I was struggling to pull god shots everytime with the Silvia or Giotto, Expobar Brewtus is by far the best I ever owned. Four months in my possession and I am able to extract precise shots like never before, day after day time after time. Steaming is also superb with the single hole wand, very steady and faster than the other machines. Add to this the unparalleled service from Zcafe and this machine is a no brainer "best buy" espresso machine to anyone.

I was convinced to buy this machine base on online reviews and blogs. For the price there is no other machine with PID and two separate boilers made with heavy stainless steel. In fact, I suspected that maybe its not as good machine as I read "because" of the low price, But - half a year later, gladly the opposite was proven!! You CAN get great performance espresso machine, good looking and reliable for a sensible cost thanks to Expobar. This machine weigh about 30kgs, built like a tank but yet sooo easy to operate. There is only one ON/OFF switch, You turn it on and few minutes later the machine is ready to concord your next cup of heaven. On standby it is completely silent, the digital gauge show the ready temperature at 96 and the other show the steam boiler pressure. It is so stable at 96 and quiet that at times I wonder if the machine is ON at all! This machine exceeded my expectations by million miles! Do not hesitate to get one, it is what an espresso machine should be and definitely this tank is going to last long time.
